Summary
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To work remote from the supervision and guidance from a Clinical Psychologist, a Project Manager, and a Project Support Officer. To support and manage a complex and varied caseload of individuals within the Criminal Justice System that screen positive for a brain injury and/or have history and sequalae of an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), under clinical supervision from Brainkind. To administer the Brain Injury Screening Index (BISI) to identify individuals that screen positive for an ABI and complete an assessment of needs to develop an Individual Support Plan (ISP) and planned release (or resettlement plan) for each service user. To ensure each Individual Support Plan is appropriately designed to complement existing Healthcare and other relevant goals. To implement and review Individual Support Plans with the service user and under supervision ensuring individual needs and preferences are placed at the centre of the process. To produce end of service reports and share with relevant stakeholders. To access information from the Clinical Portal to enhance end of service reports and confirm whether an individual had been diagnosed with a brain injury or if they had experienced head injury incidents. When agreed and directed under supervision; to undertake assessments including psychometric test and neuropsychological assessments if needed, develop formulations and provide any interventions as agreed within supervision. To develop and deliver Psychosocial interventions on a 1:1 basis, focusing on the sequalae of brain injury. To write case studies outlining assessment, interventions and outcomes for communications staff and/or commissioners for content updates and/or reports. Attending probation department units regularly to provide probation staff an opportunity for a consultation for working with people that have been diagnosed, or screen positive, for a brain injury.
