Crynodeb

The Home Office works to build a safe, fair and prosperous UK. We achieve this through our work on counter-terrorism, policing, fire, crime, drugs policy, immigration and passports.

Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. It also aims to disrupt the organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain. Learn more on our careers pages.

The IE Business Rules Programme sits within the Strategic Services & Transformation (SST) directorate of Immigration Enforcement. The aim of the Programme is to transform our enforcement capability using data.

SST is a great place to work, dealing with a diverse set of challenges such as IE Corporate performance reporting, IE Risk and Assurance, Transformation, and delivering an Illegal Working strategy, all directed towards making sure IE can work effectively.

The development of a Business Rules system has been a key part of Immigration Enforcement's (IE) transformation portfolio for the past few years.

Business rules is the method by which IE will identify and manage the flow of individual case records between business areas and identify which individuals should be recommended for various activities based on key characteristics such as harm, removability, and knowledge of whereabouts.

Business Rules is a data and digital programme comprising of 3 strands but all working closely together.

You will join this multi-disciplinary team to be a Data Product Owner. You will work daily with DSA (Data Services & Analytics) or MIDAS (Managed Integrated Data Analytics Services) delivery partners using Agile delivery methodology to design data features for workflow services and maintain existing live services.
