This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Although the Maths department are based at Knightstone Campus, you may be required to work at any of our campuses, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role.
Day to day duties of the role
-To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete, face to face and on-line.
-Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.
-To complete and use initial assessments of learners (BKSB/MathsWatch), to ensure that their learning needs are met.
-To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students effectively.
Required skills and qualifications
-Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
-Ability to teach GCSE and Functional Skills maths entry Level - to level 2.
-All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
