ConnextSteps is an exciting project, which is about to shake things up in Wiltshire - this isn’t your usual support service! A group of young people are about to take charge of their futures, and they need the right people on their side.

Funded by the Lottery, ConnextSteps brings ambitious young people together to create the futures they want. Whether this is working with a Life Connector, being part of the Ambitions Collective, or being employed in a real-life job as a peer mentor!

The sky is the limit with being a Life Connector, it will evolve in exciting and unexpected ways, pushing boundaries and creating real change for young people in Wiltshire! As a Life Connector no two days will be the same, you will be out and about being alongside young people in the community, supporting them to find ways to live their good life.

To do this job you will:
• Be a genuine people person with great listening and communication skills who can work with young people and people with disabilities.
• Be able to spot what people are good at and nurture it.
• Be energised by change.
• Be OK with providing support, motivation and encouragement to enable young people to take the lead.
• Be highly organised, confident and resilient.
• Be creative and radical and have a willingness to do things differently.
• Be a practical and friendly person who works in a flexible and supportive way.
• Be a team player who is willing to go the extra mile.

You will be based in Devizes when not out and about in the community. The successful applicants will receive an induction, and all the training needed to undertake the role. This will include lots of opportunities to shadow our existing Life Connectors.

If you are looking for a highly rewarding, exciting and creative role then we would like to hear from you.

Our posts are open to all, and applications from disabled people are particularly welcome using the usual application processes. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Closing Date for Applications: 12 noon Tuesday 22nd April 2025
