Why not join one of our many teams of cleaners in Schools within the Inverkeithing and West Fife area. We currently have several permanent vacancies in Schools covering as required on a backshift Monday to Friday only.
Primary Schools
Crossford
Crossford Primary School – 1 post 10 hours per week, 40-week contract (as required between 4:00pm – 6:00pm)
Saline
Saline Primary School – 1 post 10 hours per week, 40-week contract (as required between 3:00pm – 5:00pm)
High Valleyfield
St Serfs Primary School – 1 post 20 hours per week, 40-week contract (as required between 3:00pm – 7:00pm)
High Schools
Inverkeithing
Inverkeithing High School – 2 posts x 20 hours per week, 40-week contract (Monday to Friday as required between 3:30pm – 7:30pm)
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
-Pay is annualised for 40-week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period)
-Access to and support with training opportunities and qualifications for the job.
-Local and national discounts including cinema, supermarkets, restaurants, and retail!
-Generous Holiday allowance.
-Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland)
-Travel expenses will be paid for mobile posts when travelling between schools– we pay 45 pence per mile for staff using their own car.
This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.
The Person
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
You will be required to attend a full day of Induction Training before starting in post.
