Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to work alongside the Management Team to oversee the daily operations of our nursery.
You will be hands on and committed to maintaining the settings very high standards in care and education. You must have excellent knowledge of the EYFS, Safeguarding and Welfare requirements and Learning and Development requirements. You will be someone who is able to offer a supportive and nurturing environment to support all nursery practitioners and assist with the Nursery's budget to ensure profitability and business growth, including ensuring fees are paid promptly by parents.
Duties
To effectively work alongside the Management team to support them in implementing and maintaining the following;
to lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculum's are implemented and adhered to at all times
To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
To effectively manage the occupancy levels and payment of fees
To implement an effective parent liaison programme
To assist in managing the day to day operations of the nursery including marketing, HR, quality and health and safety.
Requirements
NNEB, Full and relevant childcare qualification Level 3, minimum with Experience in Management.
Excellent knowledge of OFSTED EYFS including Welfare requirements
DSL qualification and safeguarding experience is a must
SENCo knowledge and training beneficial.
Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
Knowledge and good understanding of equal opportunities
Previous relevant supervisory experience.
Management experience preferred. Consideration will be given to applicants who have many years experience working within nurseries as a practitioner now looking to further your career.
Job Type: Full-time (all year/term time)
Monday to Friday (35 - 40 hrs per week)
Pay: £24,258.00-£29,556.00 per year (dependant on experience)
