Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Children’s Residential Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential care home in Duston (NN5). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to manage and enhance the quality of care for children in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with relevant regulations. You will lead and motivate a dedicated team, ensuring that each child's needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the daily operations of the children’s residential care home, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage and develop a skilled care team, offering ongoing support, supervision, and training to staff members.
  • Ensure the home operates in compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans, focusing on the individual needs of each child.
  • Safeguard children under your care, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Manage the home's budget, staffing levels, and operational processes effectively.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality checks to ensure service excellence.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to senior staff and team members.
    Requirements:
    • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Residential Care) or equivalent (essential).
    • Proven experience managing a children's residential care setting.
    • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and compliance standards.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Full UK driving license and ability to drive a manual vehicle.
    • Experience in safeguarding and risk management in a children’s care setting.
