Due to the nature of this role and service, this role is on-site and the hours are as advertised.

1. Appropriate HCPC Registration.

2. Undertake a highly specialised clinical caseload of patients to aid in patient assessment and diagnosis, adapting techniques to optimise image quality and diagnostic yield.

3. To interpret ultrasound images in order to provide independent written examination reports and referrals and recommendations for further assessment based on findings.

4. To communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnostic tests explaining clinical implications and outcomes and deal appropriately with, complex, sensitive or contentious information obtaining informed verbal consent.

5. Contribute to policy implementation and service evaluation to develop services to address rapid advances in imaging technology.

6.Contribute to the formulation of long-term strategic plans and improving patient care through evidence-based practice.
