We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our client in the environmental sustainability and recycling industry.

The role

You will be supporting the Finance Manager to deliver excellent operational and financial results to lead to ongoing improvements in business systems and processes.

  • £40,000 - £45,000 pa DOE
  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 17:00pm
  • Hybrid working

Key accountabilities

  • Provide financial support to the business as a whole
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and UK finance board papers
  • Carry out monthly reporting and supplementary analysis
  • Responsibility for CAPEX process, compliance, set up, and reporting
  • balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support with budgeting and reforecasting
  • Play a key role in interim and year end audits with internal and external auditors

Skills & experience

Essential

  • ACCA / ACA or CIMA qualified
  • At least 2 years' post qualification experience in a similar role
  • Experience with financial accounting systems

Desirable

  • Experience with Navision system
  • Experience in a SOX style control environment
  • Experience working in a PLC or large business environment
