Summary
Development Manager - Bristol/Cardiff
Development Manager - An exciting oppurtunity for an experienced Development Manager to join a successful housing developer in the Bristol/Cardiff area.
Reporting to the Regional Development Director, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the effective delivery of mixed tenure residential developments from bid stage through to handover to the project team at Pre-Start Coordination stage. You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading meetings and presenting to clients, senior leadership, and all levels of the business.
Role
The role will involve the management and timely progression of mixed tenure residential projects from bid stage through to handover to the project team at Pre-Start Coordination stage. Key responsibilities will include:
• Chairing bid launch/design team and planning stage meetings to agree accountabilities.
• Agreeing Heads of Terms for land purchase.
• Leading the land purchase contract, when required.
• Preparing initial Pre-Start programmes.
• Reviewing S106/planning position and liaising with planning consultants.
You will have previous experience in a similar role, along with residential new build experience in both private sale and social housing markets. A degree qualification and/or professional membership in Development or Chartered Surveying is essential for the role.
