JOB1 Gas Breakdown Engineer

Are you an experienced Gas Breakdown Engineer looking for a new challenge? Our client, a well-established Heating and Compliance firm, is seeking skilled professionals to join their team in Stockport and surrounding areas.

Location: Stockport and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: On-target earnings circa £50,000 per annum
Benefits: Company van, fuel card & excellent benefits package

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, repair, and maintain domestic heating systems.

  • Ensure all work complies with gas safety regulations and specifications.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.

  • Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.

  • Participate in out-of-hours work, including overtime and call-outs.

  • Adhere to health & safety guidelines and operational procedures.

  • Report accidents, near-miss events, or hazards.

  • Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Relevant craft qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).

  • ACS Qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT.

  • LPG and Unvented qualifications (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong knowledge of gas legislation.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Awareness of health & safety regulations.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with the public.

  • Self-motivated and proactive.

  • Flexibility and adaptability.
