Summary
This is an opportunity to work for an ambitious local authority with a vision for improving the quality of life for everyone in the borough. At Hertsmere you’ll be working for a unique council which owns the world-famous Elstree Studios in an area rich with film, television and media connections.
We are looking to recruit a General Practice Estate Surveyor with a can do attitude to join our small but busy Estates team. The role covers all aspects of Estate Management, including handling the acquisition and disposal of land and buildings, carrying out valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, managing non-operational properties and for giving professional advice to Council Members and Officers on matters related to the Estate.
Candidates must be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and should be qualified or working towards membership of the RICS. Demonstrable experience of estate management and valuations is essential as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to think creatively.
If you are self-motivated and a technically competent Estates professional who is keen to make a real different to the lives of our residents, then this is the role for you.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
