Crynodeb
Seasonal work related to the growing and harvesting of cucumbers in the glasshouse. Harvest cucumbers from our glass houses depending on which you are assigned to. Remove leaf branches in order to promote a healthy crop. Twisting plant stems around twine to promote growth in young plants. Clip plants to support during growth when stems are too thick to twist. Clear glasshouses of all crops at the end of the growing season and prepare for re-planting through a cleaning schedule organized by Operations Team. Prepare for new growing season by planting new crops
Work pattern
Monday-Saturday, Sunday - off, working hours depend on crop and orders, average 8 hours per day, 30-60 mins unpaid breaks.
Pay rates: £11.44/hour.
Overtime applies after 48 hours at a rate of £14.30/h.
Work in a hot environment. The average temperature in the greenhouse is up to +20°C in the winter months but can go up to +35°C in the summer.
Work at heights on the automatic trolley.
Worker will need to work to a good quality standard and speed.
No former experience required as training is provided on site.
Must have proof of Right to Work in the UK.
If necessary, we can provide accommodation in caravans for 4-6 people per caravan, 30 min from the place of work. £63.93/week.
We can provide transport to and from work from certain locations for free.
