What you’ll be doing
• Prepare project budgets and monitor spend.
• Prepare and update project programmes
• Develop and implement project plans, risk management plans, and project commercial documentation.
• Monitor and control project work to check that projects are is on schedule and within budget.
• Supporting project managers and teams working on large, multi-disciplinary projects
• Provide project progress reports to the project manager, stakeholders or clients.
• Support project teams with identifying scope changes and supporting change control
• Identify, track and help manage and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure effective and efficient communication within the project team and with the stakeholders.
• Conduct project post mortems and create recommendations reports in order to improve future project delivery.
• Supporting management of subcontractor and subconsultants
• Supporting commercial aspects of proposals and tenders
• Preparing pricing schedules and budgets for tenders
Who we’re looking for
• Experience working on environmental or engineering design projects or multi-disciplinary consultancy
• Use of project programme/management software Microsoft Project, P6 etc ideally but not essential.
• Decisive, well organised and great team worker.
• Confident working on their own and motivated
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and can work with colleagues at all levels.
• Flexible and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and very confident with handling commercial data and spreadsheets
• Basic understanding of contracts
• Self-starter and ability to work without close supervision
• Minimum A Level or equivalent standard with good levels GCSEs in English and Maths
• Very proficient on Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
