Description
The role of Team Manager for the CIN of Support & Protection (PO7/PO7C) is a crucial position within our organization, playing a key part in the leadership and management of social work teams dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. The ideal candidate will oversee a range of services designed to support children in need and their families, ensuring that the highest standards of practice and policy compliance are maintained. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff in delivering services to children in need.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies regarding child welfare.
Monitor and evaluate team performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Provide guidance and supervision to staff, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to advocate for the best interests of children and families.
Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree and professional registration.
Extensive experience in children's social work, particularly within a management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and safeguarding practices.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of team management and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
