Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated band 5 Registered Nurse to work within a wound care clinic based at Soho Centre for Health and Care.The service will run 7 days a week and will be part of the walk-in centre based at Soho.
You will be part of our broader dynamic team which works in the scope of advanced practice. As a highly valued member of our team, the quality of care we provide starts with you. The nurse will assess, manage and treat a variety of acute and chronic wounds, post operative wounds and minor burns. As part of this role, you will actively contribute to the prevention of avoidable deterioration of wounds and use expert knowledge and skill in the management of simple and complex wound care to aid the recovery and healing process.
The post holder will support the team lead in the daily operation of the service and will provide holistic care to service users. The service will operate 7 days a week – daytime hours.

· To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients attending with acute wounds and wounds which require review and redressing.
· Utilises advanced clinical wound care skills to assess and evaluate patients presenting for redressing and acute wounds, selecting the appropriate choice of dressings.
· Organises an established dressing’s appointment service ensuring regular reviews and appropriate referrals for complicated wounds as necessary.
· To give skilled nursing care, based on principles of best practice and clinical evidence.
· To work within own scope of practice and manage a caseload of patients daily with the support and supervision of the Team Lead.
