What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of our Built Heritage team who have a great reputation and a broad skillset. As one of the leaders within the team, you’ll work closely with our experienced Directors and mentor our junior staff to continue to deliver a high-quality service to our clients. You will also work closely with our clients, providing an ongoing service while leading on business development. Your work will include:
· Preparation of Heritage Statements, Feasibility Statements and Environmental Statements
· Expert Witness work, including attendance at Public Inquiries
· Line management and mentoring of junior staff
· Business development, including developing the RPS client base and cross-selling other disciplines
· Liaison with clients, local planning authorities and relevant stakeholders
· Financial management of projects, to ensure they run on time and to budget
Who we’re looking for
With experience within this sector, you’ll already be familiar with what we’re looking for.
· A motivated heritage professional, with experience of management and business development
· A track record of providing heritage advice on major projects
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
· Experience as an Expert Witness
· A relevant degree or master's degree in the conservation of historic buildings and places
· Associate or Full Membership of the IHBC
· Strong knowledge and interest in historic buildings and places
· Excellent knowledge of the English planning system
· A desire for, and commitment to, professional development
