Summary

At Alcedo Care we are looking for an experienced Ofsted Registered Children's Manager to undertake managing day to day operations and responsibility for Ofsted requirements and standards. You will need to show previous experience in managing children’s homes and ideally having obtained 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted grades previously.

You will be working closely with and reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

As the Registered Children’s Manager, you will be:

• Responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the business in accordance with statutory regulations and company policies. Ensure compliance with the Children’s Act 1989 and 2004, Children’s Home Regulations and associated regulations, the Children’s Homes Quality Standards, and any recommendations outlined by Ofsted.

• Ensuring the implementation/monitoring of all designated areas of the children's care plans in conjunction with professional and organisational requirements

• Seek opportunities to strengthen professional relationships with key individuals and identify business development opportunities.

• Managing the Ofsted inspection process to achieve the highest possible evaluation and Standards of Care.

• Ensure all weekly and monthly checks are in line with the self-evaluation cycle to support the Reg 45 Audit

• Accountable for quality & compliance ensuring Ofsted regulations and company policies are maintained.

• Provide leadership and management to a diverse residential care team that strives towards excellence in residential childcare provision.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Committed to providing the highest care standards

• Multi-site management experience within EBD

• Excellent communication skills at all levels

• NVQ Level 5 in Children and Young people/ or equivalent

• OFSTED experience and evidence of good or outstanding provision
