Summary
Forever Savvy is seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Job Coach to join our team at Creative Savvy, located in Bagworth.
At Creative Savvy, we cultivate an allotment-style garden and use recycled pallets to craft wooden products for sale in the local community. You'll be working in an outdoor environment all year-round.
Role Overview
In this fulfilling, full-time role, you’ll work with adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, fostering experiential learning and personal growth through hands-on, work-based activities. As a Support Worker/Job Coach, you’ll support and inspire clients to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and engage meaningfully in their work placements across both centres.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide guidance and serve as a positive role model for individuals with learning disabilities.
•Motivate and engage clients, helping them develop self-confidence in a supportive work setting.
•Facilitate experiential learning by guiding activities in gardening and woodworking.
•Encourage teamwork and independence by working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
•Passionate about making a difference in others' lives.
•Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
•Knowledgeable in-home gardening and basic woodworking, with a safe and inspirational approach to guiding others.
•Able to support clients in building essential life and work skills.
Requirements
•Hours: 11 hours per week, Monday and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
•Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour.
•Transport: Must have a personal vehicle for client transport with business insurance (mileage reimbursed).
No prior experience in social care is required; however, a passion for hands-on activities and community support is essential. Relevant training and career development opportunities are available within our growing organization.
If you’re looking for a rewarding position with a community-focused project, please apply with your CV and cover letter to Stacey at StaceyBedford@foreversavvy.co.uk.
