About the company: William Rowland trades, processes and distributes a wide range of high purity metals, alloys and metal powders to customers globally, from a facility in Tankersley (J36, M1) and is wholly owned by London based Amalgamated Metal Corporation Plc.
Role and Responsibilities:-
Booking in/out of goods/materials, processing, sorting, shaping/sizing, packing and dispatching of finished goods.
Apprentices will be trained on an extensive range of machinery and plant using a multitude of processing equipment such as shears, FLT, guillotines, bandsaws, shot blasters, shredders and where applicable chemical cleanings of turnings.
Exciting opportunities exist for full-time warehouse and logistics apprentices (contract of employment). The successful candidates must have a high degree of Maths, English and Science at least grade 4. A Metallurgical/Materials Qualification would be ideal but is not essential.
Qualities required: Good communicator/team member
Training: Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete a Supply chain warehouse operative Level 2 apprenticeship
Working week: 40 hours per week, Start times agreed. Monday to Friday 8.5 hours which includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
Future Prospects: This is a permanent position within the company not just an apprenticeship
Possible progression onto Team Leader level 3 or Warehouse Operative level 3
