Summary

Somax, part of the Weston College Group, are looking for an LGV and/or PSV Driver Trainer to join their team at the Construction Training Centre, where we offer a complete range of practical and classroom driver training courses.

The successful candidate would be employed by Somax.

This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

The post-holder will work alongside the Training and Operations Manager to undertake all aspects of driver training, classroom delivery and assessing as required by the business.
Undertaking LGV/PCV driver training in all categories.
Deliver Driver CPC courses – remotely and in the classroom, both at the CTC and at customer sites.
Contribute to the Quality Assurance processes and work with the Centre IQA to maintain awarding bodies centre accreditation minimum criteria.
Required skills and qualifications

Strong background in transport and logistics.
Held a Full LGV and/or PSV Licence for over 3 years.
Experience of effective working with commercial partners & employers.
Ability to successfully instruct drivers through all classes of driving offered.
