Summary

Reed Industrial are hiring! We are seeking a Production Operator to join a leading company in the electro-mechanical connectivity industry. Manufacturing flexible, conformable, and semi-rigid coaxial assemblies, multiwire assemblies, panels, looms, and overmoulded cable assemblies, with a 40-year history and part of a larger group with a €100 million turnover, the company specialises in high-quality connectivity solutions used in various sectors, including railway, medical, telecoms, and industrial.

The role

•£12 per hour •Mon-Thur: 07:30 – 16:30, Fri 07:30 – 12:30 •Full-Time, Permanent Role

Key accountabilities

• Perform tasks including cable cutting, assembling electronic cabling kits, reeling of cables, crimping, soldering • Utilise the company’s ERP system to check and manage inventory. • Maintain a clean and organised work environment. • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Skills & experience

• Good communication skills with co-workers and managers. • Electronics qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, or City & Guilds) preferred. • Minimum of 5 GCSEs. • Interest and understanding of electronic technology and products. • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and diagrams. • Basic understanding of testing cable and electronic assemblies. • Aptitude for design, improvement, and problem-solving. • Excellent IT and organisational skills. • Experience in a similar role within a recognised Quality Management System (e.g., ISO9001 - 2015). • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
