Summary

The role is to join our team of Building Services Operatives providing essential building maintenance and support services across the Estate. In the role you will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and security of university buildings, furniture and equipment, joining a busy in-house team, who are supported by external contractors. As a key holder, you will work on a rota basis to ensure that the University buildings are safe secure and ready for use. You will also assist in the preparation of buildings and logistics for University events.

Applicants should have experience of working in a building support or maintenance role or have undertaken these duties as part of another post, and have access to their own transport to enable them to act as a key holder. A trade background and experience of supporting events is desirable.

The hours will be on a rota shift pattern including 6am starts, late finishes and weekend working. Start or finish times may vary depending on University activity and shift pattern.
