The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is excited to offer opportunities for Band 3 Senior Health Care Support Workers to join our dedicated and caring team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to children and young people.
As a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with their healthcare needs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, delivering high-quality care in our Tertiary Children’s Hospital.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting the clinical team with observations and treatments.
· Assisting with personal care and ensuring the well-being of patients.
· Providing emotional and practical support to children, young people and their families.
· Helping maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment.
· Working closely with other healthcare professionals in a team

Key Requirements to Apply:
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have excellent communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
To be shortlisted for this role, you must clearly demonstrate on your application the following:
· Maths qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
· English qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
· Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any subject.
· Acute caring experience in an acute healthcare or social care setting.
· Experience or a passion for working with children and young people.
If you do not have previous acute care experience, we offer a 12-week Band 2 to Band 3 Trainee Programme. This programme will equip you with the necessary skills and experience to successfully transition into the Band 3 role. Please indicate on your application if you are interested in this programme
You will need to provide evidence of your educational qualification before your invitation to interview is confirmed.
