Summary
Northumbria healthcare foundation trust are looking to recruit Nursing Assistant's to join the Children's Unit, we are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, well organised person who is self motivated. You will have to be able to work as part of a team, possess good communication skills. You will be required to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality.

The Children's Emergency Care Unit and 14 bedded short stay facility caters for children aged 0-16 years who require emergency assessment and treatment with a 24 hour inpatient facility if required.
We also provide support to medical staff in clinic and day case settings at North Tyneside General Hospital and Wansbeck General Hospital.
We have a range of shifts 7 days per week including day shifts, early shifts , late shifts , twilight and weekends.

To work as a member of the Children’s Unit by carrying out basic observations, helping with treatments, cleaning duties and supporting patients and their families. The Children’s Unit Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision and direction of the Children's Nurses based on the Children's Unit.
The main aspects of the service you will be supporting are;
When required provide a welcoming, and well-organised service and to support medical & nursing colleagues in delivering high quality care to patients.
To communicate with children, their parents, carers to ensure delivery of child focused and family centred care.
To support the service with a wide range of administrative duties, which will include (but not exhaustive) recording clinical information on clinical noting, maintaining and tracking electronic equipment.
To undertake basic observations, heights and weight and other nursing assistant duties.
