We are looking for an enthusiastic and computer literate ward clerk, who will be part of a hardworking, busy but efficient team. They need to beable to work independently and also within a small group of ward clerks. Duties include working within our extremely busy SDEC Clinic and AMU Reception. Assisting staff, patients & relatives.

Base Location: Bournemouth

To support with clerical and administrative duties in the day to day running of AMU and our Same Day Emergency Care Clinic.

To be part of a hardworking and efficient multidisciplinary team, acting as aninitialpointof contactforpatients,familiesandexternalteamsvisitingtheward. Assistinanswering telephonecalls,liaisingwith patientsand theirfamilies, keeping diary’s up to date in SDEC Clinic and maintaininguptodateinformationonTrustsystemsandproblemsolving.

Welcomepatientsandvisitorstotheward,answeringappropriatequestionsandprovidinganyrelevantinformationinasensitivemanner,referringtoqualifiedmembersoftheteamasnecessary.

Undertakeclericalandadministrativedutiesonbehalfoftheward.

Liaisewithindividualteammembersandotherdepartmentsasrequired,inamannerthat willcontributetotheeffectiveandefficientrunningoftheward.

Work within our extremely busy SDEC Clinic to ensure that notes are created and ready for same day patients & ensure that the diary is up to date. You maybe required to call and liaise with patients about attending certain tests or appointments.

To arrange for the repair of faulty ward equipment.Todeliverposttopatients.

Answer the telephone and deal with enquiries in a courteous manner.

Toopenandsortincomingmailanddistribute torelevantpersonnelforaction.

TousecomputerforinputtingandaccessinggeneralpatientinformationonTrustcomputersystemssuchasEcamis,EPR, Agyle, Electronic Diary andHealthoftheWard.

Toassist withotherdutiesthat mayreasonablyberequired.
