We are delighted to share that a rare and unique role has arisen as a Sustainability Analyst covering Climate, working alongside a team of passionate ambitious sustainability colleagues and experts, to drive the Tesco Net Zero climate strategy through best in class data analysis and insights.

This role would suit someone that has supplier and stakeholder management Industry and environmental sustainability experience/knowledge.

You will be responsible for

Data is key in informing our sustainability strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for generating data-led insights to underpin our strategy and build robust business cases. As the custodian of sustainability data you will be working with key stakeholders to embed sustainability across the business to influence decision-making. Interacting on a regular basis with suppliers to ensure their support for this agenda, including supplier compliance with our data disclosure requirements, and creating shared value through better data.

  • Owning the reporting process and driving continual improvement, with processes including: Working with colleagues in hubs to collect quarterly emissions data and presenting insights & results to the relevant teams.
  • Leading annual assurance
  • Providing the data to report our performance when required to feed into our sustainability KPIs, public third party rankings (e.g. CDP), as well as press, customers and NGO inquiries.

Leading the processing of supplier payments for the Climate workstream.

  • Building relationships across the business, and passionately promote the sustainability agendas.
  • Supporting the Sustainability Programme Manager with the provision of timely category and supplier climate data.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting resiliently and collaboratively.

You will need

  • Analysis and presentation of data (visually and verbally)
  • Supplier and stakeholder management Industry & environmental sustainability experience/knowledge
  • Used to working cross-functionally
  • Used to working in a fast paced environment Process and /or system improvements
