Applications are invited for this full time post for 12 months. The sessions are located at the Moorfields branches at St George’s and Croydon with the option for sessions at City Road. MDTs and teaching are included in the timetable.

The successful applicant will be exposed to front-line neuro-ophthalmology disorders, and will gain confidence in running a neuro-ophthalmology service, both in a tertiary neuroscience centre and in a smaller hospital. This will include gaining skills in multi-disciplinary working with neurologists, neurosurgeons and radiologists.

In addition, they will gain experience in managing a wide range of complex adult strabismus conditions, and will receive adult strabismus surgery training on two lists per month. (This is not however a high-volume surgery fellowship).

Applicants are required to hold FRCOphth or MRCOphth or equivalent and be registered with the General Medical Council and hold a License to Practice.

This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
