Summary

Support Coordinator
Exeter - ETAAS (Exeter Temporary Accommodation and Assessment Service)
Part time, flexible hours (15 per week), primarily evening based 18:00 – 22:30

We have a great job opportunity for you to join our newly formed and already well respected ETAAS team, supporting customer rebuild their lives after periods of street homelessness or a breakdown in their current accommodation.
Our specialist evening shifts are designed to support customer engagement could you help plan a quick and healthy meal as a one to one or group activity? Could you support a customer who feels like they are alone in this world and want the care of knowledge that someone cares and they are worth time and support.
Typical day as a Supported Housing Co-ordinator
• Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating a range of different services to support our customers within a multi agency approach.
• Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
• Attending regular case conference meetings ensuring the team is working collaboratively and utilising all additional support to give out customers the best chance of success.
• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
• Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring
• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
• Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.
• Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
• A highly organised and practical approach, to deal with housing management queries, personal needs and are confident to work with our contractors.
• Experience in safeguarding, risk assessments and confidentiality, working collaboratively with your colleagues across the organisation, and external agencies.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.  This remains under regular review.
Our Team
You’ll join Calvin our service manager, who joined Homegroup as a night Support Coordinator developing his skills, within the criminal justice sector moving to a Day Support Coordinator role and now is managing the service after a completing a secondment as part of our Grow Our Own at another service.
He is passionate that with the right support and guidance we can ensure the most vulnerable people in society can receive person centred support, with a firm belief in housing first.
Joining Tracey who has worked for Home Group across two different projects starting at a specialist support coordinator within a mental health setting, who as well as being our customers first point of contact with housing related matters.

Job details
• We work with our customers providing 24-hour support, which means you’ll be working on a rota basis. This role is based during the day working alternate weekends.
• Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
