Summary
Duties will include:
• Ensure that all Hygiene and Health & Safety rules and procedures are followed.
• Ensure you follow all relevant safe systems of work and safe operating procedures.
• Work as part of the team to ensure picking targets are achieved each day/week.
• Liaise with the Harvesting Supervisor/Manager with any issues/concerns with team members & Machinery.
• Ensure all waste and resources are kept to a minimum.
• Ensure that the growing houses and other linked areas are kept clean and tidy, at all times. Using a ‘clean as you go’ rule.
• Quality – are the right mushrooms harvested in the right punnet.
• Sizes – one size in one punnet
• Presentation – 1 class mushrooms must be capped up.
• Stalk length and stalk cut.
• Ensure picking quality and quantity to minimum 25kg per hour.
• If any disease found, report this straightaway to the supervisor.
• Ensure all mushrooms, irrespective of their size, with long stalks are harvested.
• All beds in the end in the shift (last shift of the day) must be in the end of the house.
• This list is not exhausted but just a guideline of the company’s expectations.
