The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant to join our happy and successful school with Christ at the centre. You will join a supportive and hard-working team who work together to achieve the best for our pupils. As part of the role the post holder will work with guidance to deliver and evaluate sports activities across the school covering PPA and will lead on the coordination of extended school sports provision
We are looking to recruit someone who can:
- Provide PPA cover whilst delivering PE & Games lessons.
- Use teaching and learning objectives to plan challenging targets and to evaluate and adjust lesson/work plans as appropriate within agreed systems of supervision.
- Be responsible for keeping and updating records in agreed format with the teacher, contributing to the reviews of systems/records as requested.
- Administer and assess achievement and progress in PE.
- Establish a clear framework for pupil discipline, anticipate and manage pupil behaviour constructively, promoting self-control and independence, in line with established school policy.
You must be able to:
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to our Catholic Ethos
- Be able and willing to work in EYFS and Key Stage 1 and 2
- Have a passion for sport and be able to share this with pupils
- Have experience and be suitably qualified to plan and teach sports to a range of ages and abilities
- Be committed to achieving the best for our pupils
- Demonstrate an ability to work as a team
