An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Research Delivery Team (ARDT) as a Research Nurse at Salford Care Organisation. This post is funded as part of the Thromboprophylaxis in Lower Limb Immobilisation (TiLLI) trial (NIHR 154716). The successful candidate will work directly on the screening, recruitment, and overall management of this important multicentre study.

TiLLI is focused on evaluating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of different pharmacological prophylaxis methods for patients with temporary lower limb immobilisation.

As a Research Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of clinical trials across the Trauma and Emergency Care and Critical Care portfolios. Your responsibilities will include:
• Screening and recruiting eligible participants for the TiLLI trial and other studies.
• Educating participants about the trial, ensuring they fully understand its purpose, and obtaining informed consent.
• Collecting and recording study data accurately and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Administering interventions and treatments as outlined in study protocols.
• Monitoring participants’ safety and promptly reporting any adverse events.
• Ensuring that all study documentation is maintained and stored securely

To be successful in this role, you need to have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, be organised and detail orientated.

Previous proven experience working within Trauma and/or Emergency Care and/or Critical Care environment are essential for this role.

While prior experience in a clinical research setting is advantageous, it is not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

You should be organised/able to prioritise and demonstrate initiative, within the ethically approved confines of the protocol and Good Clinical Practice; able to thrive on challenges and be an effective problem solver.
