Our Residential service for children, this consists of 7 homes, including 2 very specialist homes, 1 disability and the rest main stream multi bedded homes.

About the role
Our Academy programme is designed to give you the foundation blocks needed, to become an excellent childcare worker to enable our children and young people to achieve all they can.

This is an intensive 6-month programme with access to specialist training. You will have the opportunity to undertake work placements in two different homes within the service working with our most vulnerable and traumatised young people whilst receiving a high level of support and training.

The role will entail working with young people who have challenging behaviours, supporting young people to access education, and undertaking activities with the young people.

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be assigned to 1 home permanently and your salary will increase to £30,559 per annum plus market enhancement.

Working in our team will give you the opportunity to further your career through accessing further training opportunities. As part of this role, you will be expected to undertake diploma level 4.

About you
Whilst no specific skills or experience in social care is required, your passion and commitment to learn is essential for working with our children and young people.

Additionally, the ability to drive and have regular access to a car is also essential for this role.
