Falkirk Council is looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant for Larbert Village Primary School. You will provide support for teachers, early years professionals and children to enhance experiences and achievement in learning. You will undertake a wide range of support activities with regard to general supervision, safety, care and well-being of the children.

We are looking for a temporary Support for Learning Assistant to support children, some of whom have significant additional needs.

The role will require supporting children with mobility needs. Knowledge and use of communication systems such as Makaton and PECS would be desirable, and training would be available to successful candidates.

Experience of working with children and excellent communication skills are essential; you should enjoy working and contributing as part of a team.

You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday, approximately 9am-3pm.

This post is temporary until 27 June 2025 due to budget restrictions.

Successful applicants will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
