Summary
Our client is a leader in the production of bespoke precast concrete products, specializing in hollowcore and T-beam solutions for the construction industry. They are looking for a skilled and motivated Concrete Operative to join their team.
Job Overview:
As a Hollowcore and T-Beam Concrete Operative, you will play a crucial role in the production of structural precast concrete components, specifically hollowcore slabs and T-beams. You will be responsible for operating equipment, preparing moulds, pouring concrete, and ensuring that products meet the company’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate machinery used in the production of hollowcore slabs and T-beams, including casting beds and cutting equipment.
• Prepare and maintain moulds and production lines, ensuring that they are clean, well-lubricated, and in good condition.
• Pour and level concrete into moulds, ensuring even distribution and smooth surfaces.
• Monitor the curing process, ensuring that all products meet quality and structural integrity standards.
• Cut hollowcore slabs and T-beams to specified lengths and dimensions as required by project specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections on finished products to ensure they meet technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Key Requirements:
• Experience working in a precast concrete environment
• Knowledge of operating equipment and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Physically fit, as the role requires manual handling and standing for long periods.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to concrete production.
