Here at Wokingham, we have two inpatient wards, caring for adults with a wide variety sub-acute medical and post-surgical conditions. Our patient cohort is referred from both acute and community setting. Without immediate access to acute investigations, we use multiple ‘Point of Care Testing’ systems to support the care of our patients.


Our diverse range of staff are skilled inappropriate managementof patients, supporting them toremainin the community setting, whilst also escalating asappropriate toensure their safety. We are looking for an experienced nurse to join our growing team to provide this continued level of care to our patients.


We are looking for experiencedband 6 nurses to support and lead ourstaff and patients alike.BHFT actively encourages the development of our staff, and as a result our team of RNshave the opportunity tofollow the career path suitable to them – this can be developing autonomous nursing skills, management skills, or supporting you to be the best Registered Nurse you can be. The unit is based in Wokingham close to shops and public transport for easy commuting, and Wokingham Community Hospital . Free staff parking on ourHospitalsite.

• Work closely as part of theMulti-DisciplinaryTeam for the care of patients requiring medical and rehabilitation support,predominantly postan acute hospital stay.

• Responsible for the assessment of care needs,developmentand implementation ofpatient centered care. Promoting independence and safe discharge home.

• Lead in ourNurse led unit, especially during out of hours shifts.

• Shiftwork andshiftmanagement,working with junior members of staff in all aspects of patient care,participatingin training and support.
