Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing labeling and ink coding machines. The role also involves advising on and implementing related technical and engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a dynamic, resourceful individual who can quickly adapt and achieve results with minimal supervision. You will report to the Service Controller and Projects Manager while traveling frequently between customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland, with regular overnight stays. A company vehicle will be provided, and flexibility in your working hours is essential to meet customer needs, with overtime available at premium rates. Comprehensive training on their systems will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, commission, service, and repair labeling and coding machinery.
• Advise on and implement technical and engineering solutions.
• Promote their full range of labeling products, including service contracts and spare parts.
• Report on sales leads and provide feedback for product quality and design improvements.
Candidate Profile:
• A third-level qualification in an engineering discipline or related field.
• Experience in a technical or engineering customer-facing role is preferred; however, recent graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong diagnostic skills for both electrical and mechanical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships.
• Proficient in using computer software.
• A clean driving license is required.
Location: This position primarily serves customers in Ireland (75%) and the UK (25%), with potential international travel as needed.
