Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate

Hours per week: 37 hours per week

Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months

Location: London hybrid working

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Social, Health, and Risk (ESHR) Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applying international standards, including IFC 2012 Performance Standards, World Bank Group Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidelines, and other global sustainability frameworks. This role involves conducting due diligence, monitoring ESHR impacts, and advising on compliance with sustainability standards for projects funded by International Export Credit Agencies and commercial lenders.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform due diligence assessments to evaluate environmental, social, and health risks in line with IFC Performance Standards, EHS Guidelines, and other international sustainability frameworks.
Oversee ongoing project compliance with ESHR requirements, providing regular reports and recommendations to ensure adherence to international standards.
Review and contribute to Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, ensuring they meet international standards and best practices.
Collaborate with international export credit agencies and commercial lenders, advising on project compliance with the OECD Common Approaches, Equator Principles, and other relevant frameworks.
Provide guidance on sustainability-linked loans and bonds, incorporating principles such as the Green Loan Principles, Social Loan Principles, and Sustainability Bond Guidelines.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive risk management and compliance across all relevant ESHR disciplines.



Key requirements:

Proven experience using the IFC 2012 Performance Standards and World Bank Group (EHS) Guidelines.
Proven experience undertaking due diligence and monitoring in relation to ESHR impacts and/or Experience undertaking and reviewing international standards Environmental and Social Impact Assessments.
Proven experience of disciplines relevant to the performance of the Services.
Proven experience in projects where OECD Common Approaches and Equator Principles apply.
Significant experience working with International Export Credit Agencies and/or Commercial Lenders.
Knowledge of other international sustainability standards (Green/ Social/sustainability Loan/Bond Principles
