The town has significant growth ambitions where our planning team seek the best for our communities. We are well located with excellent transport connectivity to Sheffield, Derby and further afield.
In this role you will be leading development within the borough using your design skills to seek high quality developments which meet the growth agenda. You will provide professional advice to a range of interested parties on complex, controversial and major planning applications. You will manage and advise a team of planning officers, heritage and tree experts along with technical staff. In addition, acting where needed as deputy to the development management and conservation manager.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant law, policies, working practices and procedures is required as well as strong negotiation, design, decision making and judgement skills. You will be able to provide a high-quality service to our customers.
