PS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for senior residential support worker to work with our fantastic client offering support across Greater Manchester. This position will be based at our clients homes in Stockport. It is essential that the successful senior residential social care worker has a relevant QCF qualification and an NVQ Level 3 would also be desirable for this role. The purpose of this job is to provide physical, health, emotional and social care to the young people being looked after. A DBS check covering both adults and children is essential for this position. A full UK driving licence is also essential. Duties of this role as a senior residential social care worker will include
Providing a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment
Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review systems in the home to maximise the quality of care
Key working responsibilities
Maintaining a good level of awareness around health and safety and safeguarding
Creating assessments and plans with young persons input
Maximising educational opportunities
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with communities, carers and families
Adhering to all health and safety and safeguarding at all times
The Successful residential social care worker must:
Have a UK driving licence
Have a level 4 in children, young people and families practitioner or equivalent
Have QCF qualification
Be flexible
Have the ability to motivate
Have good written and verbal communication
