• To deliver a comprehensive service for a complex case load.
• To ensure service provision is prioritised and service delivery is made effectively within resource constraints.
• To manage a defined caseload of patients, using evidence based clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
• To assess for and monitor the provision of adaptations when appropriate.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. • Managerially responsible to Team Lead

• Clinically responsible to OT manager.

• Responsible for providing supervision to junior and support staff.

• To work with a wide range of patients in Howdon Care Centre base sites and communityacross the Trust.

• Responsible for own clinical practice, delegating work to support staff and supporting studentson clinical placements.

• To comply with the College of Occupational Therapists Code of Ethics and ProfessionalConduct and National and Trust procedures.

• To work autonomously respecting the individuality, values, cultural and religious diversity of patients and contribute to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.

• Your clinical expertise will be provided where it is required.

• Service provision includes working in a variety of settings (acute and community hospitals,community rehab teams, primary care and Social Care) and working with a variety
