University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic doctor to join their Trust at middle grade level. A busy, progressive, forward thinking hospital, rated 'Good' by the CQC in 2019, we invite you to join the Stroke and Care of the Elderly teams at Queen’s Hospital Burton.
Post holder will be required to start as soon as possible.
We would like to offer you opportunities to increase your out-patient experience, build upon the skills you already have and work in our busy yet friendly department.
Full support and training will be available.
You will receive supervision, access to an Eportfolio and be encouraged to join the established teaching programmes. We can offer PACES training if needed and opportunities to complete the ‘alternative certificate’ ready for higher training applications.
You will have a study leave budget and subject to individual requirements, there may be scope to facilitate attendance at IMPACT courses. We will perform your annual appraisal.

Based at Queens Hospital in Burton, we are appointing an F3 doctor to our Department of Medicine for the Elderly. This will be a full-time, fixed-term service appointment until August 2025, with a possibility of extension. Applications for less than full-time working patterns are welcome.
The post holder will work 8 hours on duty Monday to Friday, rostered between 0900hrs and 1700hrs (option of 0800-1600 available). Rota to be confirmed upon appointment.
In addition, there are daily ‘board rounds’ with the opportunity to discuss the management of the ward patients with a senior clinician. The post holder will be attached to the Department of Medicine for the Elderly You will also have regular out-patient clinics with full consultant supervision. You will be expected to work as middle-grade doctors, seeing speciality referrals and leading your junior team with full consultant support.
Numerous training opportunities are available in all teams and you will be actively encouraged to access these options throughout your post.
