We are looking to increase our Food Production Team. Have you got the experience we require and are you up for a new challenge?

As a Food Production Operative for GCL Food Ingredients based in Newthorpe, Nottingham you’ll be joining an industry leader and performing various duties within our ever growing production facility.

Reporting to the Line Leaders, the role is to move around the line working on different tasks as required during the daily production. All tasks must be completed in a manner to achieve the safe, hygienic, efficient and best cost manufacture of all designated products to the required quality, specification and quantity.

Full Time, Permanent, Site Based
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 – Some flexibility required
Salary: £12.00 per hour

The Role:
• Ensure all procedures for quality, hygiene, housekeeping etc are strictly followed and issues reported.
• Ensure all quality and safety regimes are adhered to including testing, cleaning, pre start checks etc and to ensure all documentation is completed accordingly to agreed standards.
• To carry out production in an efficient manner according to the agreed schedules.
• Ability to work within a small team, working alongside the supervisor to produce high quality products.
• Operate and clean down machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
• Walk, bend and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Some heavy lifting may be involved.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Requirements:
• Previous experience within a food factory environment is preferred.
• Quality conscious with an awareness of Health and Safety
• Willingness to undertake further relevant training.
• Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in the working environment.
• High levels of motivation, drive and commitment with a good attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be available to work from Monday – Friday. Occasional Saturday if requested and desired.
