Summary
Ks2 Intervention Assistant
Newtown
Monday - Friday
£85-£95
Supply Heroes are currently working with a Primary School in Newtown who are looking to appoint a strong Intervention/ Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be working within Years 3 and 4 and will have an extensive experience of working with Little Wandle and exceptional mathematics skills as you will be leading on Maths Interventions. This role will be perfect for someone who has experience of working within a NTP or a Maths Tutoring role. This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the Academic Year.
Some of the daily responsibilities will include
- Lead interventions across Year 3 and 4 in Maths and Little Wandle
- Prepare resources for intervention groups.
- Help create a positive and inclusive environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to Teacher.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and parents/care givers
To be successful for this role you will need;
- Experience of working in depth with Little Wandle, this is essential
- A thorough understanding of Maths and of the Maths National Curriculum
- Have experience of working in Ks2
- Have the ability to engage and motivate pupils
- Be able to manage challenging behaviour
- Have an Enhanced DBS that is on the Update Service or be willing to pay for a new check to be done.
