Are you a leader in Hard FM or Estates Management looking for a new role?

Are you passionate about the role the estate can play in enabling outstanding patient care?

If so, this great opportunity could be for you.......

We are looking for a proven leader to join the team at BHT as Head of Estates Engineering. This is an exciting time to join us as we grow and develop our in-house Estates team.

Our estate must enable us to deliver integrated care with greater guarantees of infection prevention and control. It must enable us to be more financially sustainable by reducing the inefficiencies of an aged estate whilst tackling our backlog maintenance. Ultimately, our estate is fundamental in creating a healthy, safe and effective environment for all who use it.

Applicants should possess professional technical knowledge acquired through a degree, or equivalent plus specialist knowledge gained through post-graduate courses and professional learning within a building services/engineering related discipline. This will be supplemented preferably by having worked previously in the NHS or a similar complex organisation, with evidence of management development.

As Head of Estates Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping the future provision of estates services within the trust. This will include the development of services to ensure they are high quality, progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, patient focused and fully support the strategic and future operational needs of the service delivery and associated contracts.

You be responsible for leading the development and implementation of estates related business development plans and developing a strong governance framework to provide and evidence that all services are safe, fit for purpose, efficient and effective for patients and staff including relatives and visitors.

You will help to maintain and develop strong and effective links with all key stakeholders, which will involve deputising for the Director/Deputy Director of Estates for all matters relating to safety and quality of operational estates.
