With a total package up to £51,083 including bonuses and benefits, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in social care.

Our mission as a short term service is to empower residents to live as independently as possible. To accomplish this, we are seeking individuals with specialised skills to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist with the Adult First Contact Service, you will assist residents in regaining their independence by employing a preventative approach aimed at reducing and delaying the need for ongoing support.

You will complete occupational therapy proportionate assessments to meet immediate needs and reduce risk, working with residents for up to 2 weeks. This may include providing equipment from our peripheral store, recommending adaptations and collaborating with both formal and informal caregivers to conduct moving and handling risk assessments. You will also work closely with colleagues in the Sutton Health and Care NHS teams and the Hospital Pathway Team. You will be responsible for screening and prioritising occupational therapy referrals from residents, community partners and health colleagues. Additionally, you will guide and supervise Enabling Independence Officers in the role of trusted assessors. Your contributions will be crucial in helping residents access the support they need to improve their quality of life and well-being.

If you are passionate about making a difference, possess strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships and can demonstrate empathy and sensitivity towards individuals facing challenges, we would love to hear from you.
