Summary
Bethesda Medical Centre Job Description: Practice Nurse Accountable to: Senior Practice Nurse Terms of Reference: To assist the Senior Practice Nurse in providing the best nursing service and care to Practice patients within the surgery or community. Main Responsibilities: 1. Leg Ulcers, Wound Care and Suture Removal 2. Giving immunisations as per the national schedule 3. Undertaking Chronic Disease Management 4. Giving Family Planning Advice 5. Performing Ear Irrigation 6. Liaising within the multi-disciplinary team 7. Record Data on Patient Computerised Clinical Record (EMIS Web) 9. Undertaking any other duties and training which may be assigned to the Practice Nurse by the Senior Practice Nurse 10. On-going support /mentorship of HCAs/trainees Initial training to incorporate if not already in place: Cervical Cytology Screening Family Planning Chronic Disease Management
