We are looking for a Waste Operative to join our Waste and Cleaning team, to undertake the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials. This includes the compaction of waste and cardboard.
In the role, you'll be capable of working and staying compliant to Health and Safety regulations and monitoring the performance of equipment. You'll provide support to the On-Site Waste Coordinator to complete site objectives, and make sure to follow PPE guidance.
To be successful in this role, you'll hold a current Counterbalance FLT license, be prepared to work outside including in extreme weather conditions and have a good level of communicative English. You'll be detail conscious and hold excellent time management skills to follow tight deadlines. You will also be required to pass a DBS Check and undertake a drugs/alcohol screening test prior to starting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Health & Safety training, an understanding of waste management and environmental legislation, have previous experience in the use of static balers and compactors, and be capable of carrying out strenuous tasks.
