Summary

The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) have 3 exciting permanent, full time vacancies for qualified social workers as Adult MASH Safeguarding Lead Practitioners. MASH provides a safeguarding triage function and is committed to making safeguarding personal. This involves engaging with the adult at risk, or their advocate, to agree a way forward which follows the six key principles of s42 enquires under the Care Act. MASH works closely with its partner agencies, in the spirit of the Care Act, to share information with the aim of providing the highest quality of response to adults at risk. The team is co-located, with the police, at The Hex, Police Headquarters, and you will be expected to undertake advanced vetting for this position. The MASH is a small and supportive team, we are under Hybrid working, between The Hex and working from home arrangements. MASH provides a safeguarding triage function and as a MASH Social Worker, you will be responsible for triaging concerns, based on the level of risk as well as holding your own Care Act s42 enquires. You will need to provide a response, which is preventative, by signposting to relevant organisations or conduct (or instruct others to conduct) enquiries under section 42 of the Care Act. About you The person we are looking for will: Be a registered Social Worker and have completed their ASYE Have a willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Care Act and be able to apply it in practice.
