Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

A specialism of Geography or Religious Studies would be preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to teach one/both subjects to GCSE level. The Academy is looking for someone who has:

• Excellent subject knowledge;
• A passion that inspires students, enabling them to achieve outstanding results;
• Engaging and creative ideas to make learning accessible to a range of abilities;
• The ability to understand and work with assessment data to monitor and intervene as appropriate with students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

To be responsible for adding value to every learner in each teaching group benchmarked against national criteria and data;

to deliver, plan, and prepare lessons in accordance with the planned curriculum;

to deliver learning by utilising Academy Policies;

to work as part of, and contribute to, an exceptional area that ensures creative and innovative learning and teaching occurs in every lesson.

The successful candidate will be joining one of our consistently high achieving subject areas, which continues to be a popular choice with students as one of their A-Levels.
